I truly believe this is the main reason God has chosen me for this gift, to show that the Holy Spirit is alive in every single one of us. Most Christians believe that when the physical body dies, the soul lives on and passes into Heaven. Most Christians also believe that the soul of a believer will have eternal life as it states in the Bible, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16), so if all these things are true, how can it be so hard to believe that the soul’s of our loved ones are alive and able to communicate in some way with us?
The Bible gives us an example of this happening in the New Testament book of Acts. Jesus shows himself in spirit form to the apostles after his tomb has been found empty:
Acts 1 – 2:21
1When the day of Pentecost came, the believers were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw tongues like flames of a fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
5Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6And when this sound rang out, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking his own language.
7In wonder and amazement, they asked, “Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? 8How is it then that each of us hears them in his own native language? 9Parthians, Medes, and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,a10Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome, 11both Jews and converts to Judaism; Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the mighty works of God in our own tongues!”
12Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”
13But others mocked them and said, “They are drunk on new wine!”
Peter Preaches to the Crowd
14Then Peter stood up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and addressed the crowd: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen carefully to my words. 15These men are not drunk as you suppose. It is only the third hour of the day! 16No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out My Spirit on all people;
your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18Even on My servants, both men and women,
I will pour out My Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and clouds of smoke.
20The sun will be turned to darkness,
and the moon to blood,
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
Now, this is taken right from the Bible, the book all Christians agree is the Word of God, so again, I ask, why is it so hard to believe? Many Christians will argue it’s because it is listed many times over in the Bible not to rely on mediums, necromancers, or fortune tellers and this is all true. However, the one BIG thing they don’t say is every single mention of this is in the OLD TESTAMENT! BEFORE Christ died on the cross and was resurrected, BEFORE the Holy Spirit was a factor, and BEFORE He shown himself in SPIRIT FORM to Paul and the apostles. That is OLD TESTAMENT thinking, before the sins of the world were washed clean.
The biggest thing to keep in mind when looking for a Medium is where they get their source of information, is it God, Angels, or Spirit Guides? Or some other negative being?
The majority of Mediums get their information from Heavenly Realms, but in the NEW TESTAMENT, it does warn that their are those who pretend to be giving Heavenly advice, but are being deceitful “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15)
So, to answer the question “How can I be a Medium and say that I work for God?”, it’s simple – God is my source, He is my source for life, my family, and He has chosen me to relay messages in order to help heal as many as possible in this very broken world all while helping to advance His Kingdom.
